_____________________

Andrea Heindriksdóttir and Anna Klett both started their musical carreers and friendship at a young age in Tórshavn and have since then become an integral part of the faroese classical music-scene. After studying in The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen their paths divided, and they each took on a new challenge - Anna through further study abroad and then her work with Athelas Sinfonietta and Figura ensemble in Denmark, and Andrea through her tireless work at Tórshavnar Musikkskúla. They are both members of the faroese chamber music group Aldubáran and have been playing with the Faroese Symphony Orchestra since the very first concert in 1983. Andrea and Anna are joined by two former pupils of Andrea, Elsa Maria Dam Kongslíð and Marta Torkilsdóttir, both of whom later went on to study abroad at Malmö Academy of Music and are now following in her footsteps as flute-teachers.
