Dania O. Tausen is a young interdisciplinary artist on Faroese music and poet's scene. A singer, songwriter and a poet who expresses herself in her own way with the Faroese language. Growing up in the small town of Toftir she performed mostly in church at the start, but in 2018 she got some attention singing at the Ella Fitzgerald tribute concert, one of her first concerts outside of church. Shortly after she began to release her own music and moved to Tórshavn to study Creative Writing. She currently performs regularly with the solo project Dania O. Tausen, the jazz trio SWAY and the hip-hop group Aggrasoppar.

In her daily life, Dania also works for the record label Tutl, is a radio host, and is a concert/poetry readings organiser in Tórshavn. Dania was especially discussed in the Faroe Islands, when her debut poetry collection SKÁL (SKÅL) and the documentary about the book were released in 2020. The poems and the film were controversial because Dania pointed out how it is growing up in a conservative christian invironment while being young, curious and doubting.
