RELEASE CONCERT

The programme for this concert is a mix of songs for piano and soprano from the new release 'Hvørjum angar rúmdin av?' and other contemporary works from the Faroe Islands, Norway and France.

The music in 'Hvørjum angar rúmdin av?' is composed by Kári Jacobsen and the style varies from traditional to experimental, modern and unconstrained format and expression.

The texts by Urd Johannesen go in different directions; from introverted and everyday thoughts about losing a loved one, to more abstract thought experiments that lead us out into infinite space.

The music release features award-winning Faroese-Norwegian soprano Hanne Marit Mordal Iversen and composer Kári Jacobsen on piano.

For this concert Hanne Marit is also accompanied by pianist Damien Heemskerk, and they will perform some songs by the Norwegian composer Ragnar Söderlind and French composer Maurice Ravel.
