New Music Islands

Organised by The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM)

FFT (Association of Faroese Composers) is member of ISCM. For 2026 the ISCM Faroe Islands branch and 3 other organizations based on islands, have agreed on a colaboration. The other participants are: CANZ (ISCM New Zealand branch), VICC (ISCM Gotland branch), and COSIMITE representing the Canary Islands)

Music will be presented from the following island localities: Faroe Islands, Aotearoa New Zealand, Gotland, and the Canary Islands.

The idea is to have at least one concert in each locality, although there can certainly be more, where each concert will be organized by the local ISCM department with local musicians.
