Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike for the verve, commitment and intelligence of his performances, Rupert Marshall-Luck appears as soloist at major festivals and venues throughout the UK as well as in France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.

His solo performances are frequently broadcast worldwide and his recordings have attracted glowing critical acclaim from the international musical press, including BBC Music Magazine, Classica, Fanfare, Gramophone, MusicWeb International and The Strad.

This programme is intended to form part of a collaboration between Summartónar and The English Music Festival, the aim of which is to showcase the vital and vivid compositions written by Faroese and British composers and, through concert performances and the associated publicity, to help raise awareness in each country of the music of the other country.

Two works for solo violin and recitation are commissioned for this event.
