Trio Ciocaia

Marco Mainini (vocal, Emilian piva, fife), Ferdinando Gatti (Emilian piva, guitar, vocal), Fabio Bonvicini (Diatonic accordion, Emilian piva, vocal)

Ciocaia, so nicknamed for the “shots” his fingers made on the instrument, was one of the last great Emilian piva players of the Parma Apennines.

The Ciocaia trio, in homage to that peasant tradition, takes up this name to reconnect with the extraordinary musical culture of the Apennines and, in particular, with the Emilian piva, an instrument that belongs to the large bagpipe family.

The repertoire crosses both the songs and dances of popular culture, combining them with fragments of the classical music of ‘600, a time in which, presumably, the musical heritage of authentic popular culture was consolidated.

Lív & Tróndur

Lív Næs (vocals), Tróndur Enni (vocals, guitar)

Lív & Tróndur are two individual artists with different backgrounds and sounds, but when they sing and perform together they become a symbiosis. Their voices and songs melt into one.

The music is a combination of folk and pop. It is gentle, emotional, and they always have a story to tell. When hearing their unique sound it's easy to imagine the North Atlantic sea, green mountains and a rainy foggy day.

Lív & Tróndur have played many concerts through the past years; In Milano, Barcelona, Iceland, Sweeden, Norway and Denmark. They are working on new material at the moment.
